The Uswitch Collective has started and there are some awesome deals! Typically, a collective only have one big deal, but Uswitch have managed to get you multiple options, these are:
- The Nations Cheapest Fix – £266 cheaper than the price cap with Fuse Energy
- The Cheapest Big Supplier Deal – EDF Energy coming in with a tariff £185 cheaper than the price cap
- The Highly Rated Supplier Deal – Utility Warehouse are offering an exclusive deal, £230 lower than the price cap!
Each of these are exclusive tariffs for people eligible to take part in the Uswitch Great Energy Saving Collective!
What is a Collective?
Collective switches used to be popular. During my time at Energyhelpline, I saw dozens of them being run – Ofgem themselves even ran a couple of collectives.
It’s a simple concept: a company (in this case Uswitch) gathers a group of people that are interested in saving money on their energy bills. Once they have a big enough group of interested people, they go to all of the energy suppliers and start a bidding war – whoever offers the cheapest tariff gets to have their tariff shared with this group of people. Typically, there is only one or two tariffs that “win” the bid, and it’s usually the cheapest tariff. Suppliers are usually happy to offer cheapest-in-market tariffs if it guarantees a large number of new customers.
These tariffs are exclusively available to those that are part of the “group”. For this Uswitch tariff it is anyone that was subscribed to their marketing or had a Uswitch account on 26 January 2026 – so hopefully you saw my email on 26 January and signed up! The collective also runs for a short period of time, so these tariffs are only available until 16 February 2026.
Sometimes the company running the collective will allow “category winners”, for example “overall cheapest”, “cheapest big 6”, “cheapest green energy provider”, etc. This is what Uswitch has done. They’ve got 3 winning tariffs, although I’m confused what “category” the third falls under.
The Three Uswitch Great Energy Saving Collective Winners
Okay, so here are the three winning tariffs! It is worth noting that the price cap for an average usage household is currently £1,758 per year.
- The Nation’s Cheapest Fix: January 2026 Fixed (15m) v1 with Fuse Energy – £1,492 per year – £266 saving on the Price Cap!
- The Cheapest Big Supplier: EDF Energy EDF Collective Switch Mar27 with EDF Energy – £1,567 per year – £191 saving on the Price Cap!
- Highly Rated Supplier Deal: Utility Warehouse UW Fixed USWTCH 1 with Utility Warehouse – £1,522 per year – £236 saving on the Price Cap!
As stated before, each of these deals is available only to people that were either subscribed to USwitch/Confused.com marketing or have an account with them, and they all run until 16 February – so don’t waste any time!
