Ofgem have announced that the Price Cap will decrease from 1 July 2025, from the current £1,849 to £1,720 a decrease of £129, or 6.4%.This comes as a shock as all experts were predicting a small increase just weeks ago. Cornwall Insights did accurately predict a decrease in the Electricity Standing Charges, but not as much as we’d hoped and they inaccurately forecast a £10 decrease in Gas Standing Charges, whereas we’re actually going to see a £3.72 increase in Gas Standing Charges.
