Open Letter to Ofgem - Give Us Our £4bn Back
An investigation by Citizens Advice revealed that Network Companies have received almost £4billion more than was fair or intended, in the year 2023/24. This equates to roughly £130 per household—money paid by every home across the country during a time when energy bills were already spiralling out of control.
I have called for Ofgem to return this money to us through reduced standing charges on the Price Cap. This call for action is supported by over 46,000 signatories of a petition, as well as by the organisation Fuel Poverty Action and by Ryecroft NRC.
